Industry veteran Karey Geddes brings over 25 years’ experience in residential lending, including building and managing mortgage conduits. In 2015, Ms. Geddes laid the foundation for ViaNova, a front to back technology-driven capital markets solution for private lenders. Ms. Geddes spent the next few years raising capital and securing warehouse financing, officially launching ViaNova to private lenders nationwide in 2018. ViaNova is currently purchasing and selling private money loans focused on providing capital to short term and bridge investors. Forward focused, the ViaNova team continues to grow both partnerships and bandwidth in order to support residential investors.

 

From 2013 to 2015, Ms. Geddes was instrumental in the build out of the WinWater conduit from startup to over $1 billion origination volume in less than a year. In 2014, WinWater completed three securitizations totaling $790 million, and in 2015 completed six deals totaling $2 billion.

 

From 2002 to 2008, Ms. Geddes was a founding partner at The Winter Group. Karey was integral in the growth of the self-funded business from $15 million to over $180 million within three years. Prior to The Winter Group, Ms. Geddes was a VP at CSFB and DLJ in the residential mortgage business, starting in Transaction Management and ending in Sales. Ms. Geddes holds a B.A. in Finance and Economics from Pace University.

Michael is a seasoned professional in the field of mortgage lending and consulting. With a career spanning over three decades, he has amassed a wealth of experience and knowledge in the financial industry.

 

From 1994 to 2014, Michael dedicated himself to retail mortgage lending, assisting numerous clients in achieving their dreams of home ownership. During this period, he developed expertise in mortgage products, loan structuring, and customer service. He has built a reputation for providing personalized solutions and ensuring a smooth and seamless lending process for his clients.

 

In 2014, Michael transitioned into consulting, leveraging his extensive experience to help businesses and individuals navigate the complex landscape of mortgage lending and financial planning. As a consultant, he offered strategic advice, conducted market research, and provided valuable insights to optimize clients' financial decisions. He became known for his analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify opportunities for growth.

 

In the spring of 2023, Michael embarked on a new chapter in his career by joining ViaNova Capital Group. As a member of the team, he brings his deep knowledge of mortgage lending and consulting expertise to provide comprehensive solutions to clients. He is committed to delivering exceptional results and assisting individuals and businesses in achieving their goals. With a passion for helping others and a dedication to excellence, Michael is determined to make a positive impact. Marc Renz

Marc Renz, VP, Business Development 

Marc has been actively involved in the mortgage industry since 1993, gaining extensive experience across various aspects of retail, wholesale, and correspondent lending. Throughout his career, he has undertaken diverse responsibilities such as fund management, bulk acquisition, wholesale and retail C level sales management and direct origination. Under Marc's leadership, mortgage loans totaling hundreds of millions have been successfully executed. His extensive knowledge and experience within the industry have equipped him with a deep understanding of identifying favorable risks and ensuring the accomplishment of profitable transactions. Furthermore, Marc enjoys a fulfilling personal life as he is happily married with six accomplished adult children and many beloved grandchildren.
